Accountant/Payroll Specialist
Adecco is now hiring Accountant/Payroll Specialist for a technology company, and this is your chance to work with them in Glendale! The payroll specialist is responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paychecks according to schedule and in the correct amount. Their duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, calculating paycheck amounts, and distributing funds to employee accounts. This is a temporary to hire opportunity!
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and maintain payroll files in UKG payroll system
+ Run and review reports and verify for accuracy before payroll is transmitted
+ Produce manual checks when necessary
+ Calculate and compile medical benefit deductions and other earnings
+ Research and resolve employee payroll discrepancies
+ Interact (written and verbal) with employees and all levels of management on payroll related projects and inquiries
+ Track and monitor field performance across key payroll elements
+ Understand and interpret wage garnishments/child support/levies orders and process them accordingly
+ Investigate, locate, and resolve cause of misdirected checks. Update system or notify appropriate party of correction
+ Audit payroll for processing errors
+ Manage all timecards and time sheet reconciliation
+ Prepare and respond to various payroll related state filings
+ Prepare and upload payroll journal entries in NetSuite.
+ Assist with weekly and monthly accounting activities as assigned by management
+ Responsible for Workman's Comp and Insurance filings/upkeep
+ 401K reconciliations and Option document distribution
+ Upload 401k and HSA contributions to 401k and HSA provider
+ Assist with annual 401k audit as needed
+ General accounting and finance operations, including reviewing and entering accounts payable and employee expense transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with the month-end close
+ Interact with company employees to resolve accounting inquiries.

Requirements:
+ BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field required.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration & accounting related industry experience
+ **UKG experience highly preferred**
+ In depth knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statements, and basic accounting procedures.
+ Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end closing processes.
+ Experience with NetSuite
+ Strong computer skills in MS Suite
+ Possess deep analytical skills, being highly detailed in processing transactions
+ IT and systems sophistication - ability to gather/develop system needs and translate into functional specifications
Shifts Available:
Shifts are available from **Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.**

**Pay Details:** $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
