Job Description

Why are we proud of what we do at allnex? We create coatings, products which help protect the world for all nex> t generations – and that’s exactly what you can do joining us!

Imagine how fast your smartphone would become scratched-up, ugly and unusable without a coating. Or an e-bike, the cabin of a train, a beautiful wooden floor, and countless other things in life.

Making objects and their surfaces more attractive and longer-lasting means making them more sustainable, and that’s a huge part of what working at allnex is about. No matter which role you step into, you’ll become part of a global team of passionate people who care deeply about the chemistry, quality, and global impact of coatings.

You’ll also join a highly multicultural and diverse team of more than 4,000 employees in four regions who – as part of one of the world’s leading coating resins companies – serve customers in over 100 countries across the globe.

Position overview

The purpose of this role is to expand the Additives business in North America (US and Canada) by maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, exploring new market opportunities, increasing allnex’s additive brand awareness, and generating sales leads. The person in this position will collaborate with key accounts, allnex’s key account managers, and distribution partners to serve customers in the coatings industry and related non-coating sectors. The objective is to integrate allnex’s Additive technologies into coatings and parts manufacturing—including liquid, powder, radiation-curing, and crosslinkers—to drive growth in targeted markets and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth for all Additives regionally by promoting strategic products and identifying market needs, opportunities, and competitive weaknesses in North America.
  • Provide additive training for internal and external customers.
  • Create new business leads for Additives in new markets/regions, offering combined expertise across all Additives technologies.
  • Improve internal and external awareness of Additives and identify cross-segment opportunities for global customers.
  • Liaise with global business teams, sales functions, marketing, PLM, and communications to build interfaces that support business growth.
  • Lead regional adjacency projects (high-potential Additive projects).
  • Perform lab work to support product development and resolve customer complaints.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in coatings or additive technologies such as UV-curable resins, dispersants, acid catalysts, oxidative driers, additive manufacturing, defoamers, tires, and alkyds (experience in these areas is a plus).
  • Demonstrated practical experience and success in at least two of the following areas: coatings industry, R&D, analysis, sales, formulation, or business management.
  • Availability to travel around 35%.

Qualifications

  • BS, Eng., or BA in chemistry or technical discipline.
  • MBA and/or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science preferred.
