Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory movement within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Shift: 7am-3pm
Location: Brooklyn Heights, OH
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, as applicable) in a safe and efficient manner
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Transport materials to designated storage, staging, or production areas
- Perform material handling tasks such as palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and staging products
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips and report discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
- Assist with other warehouse or operational duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
- Prior warehouse experience, including loading and unloading freight
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and labels
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures
- Fast-paced environment requiring frequent standing, lifting, and movement
