Admissions/Assessment Clinician Opportunity

The Admissions Clinician will support the purpose and procedures of the entire intake and admission process. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial screening and evaluations of all patients, voluntary and involuntary, who present to the facility with a primary psychiatric or behavioral complaint.
• Provide accurate evaluation of medical necessity, offering alternative levels of care when feasible
• Initiate a collection and assessment of information for payers; complete pre-certification
• Triage and follow up telephone inquiries

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences or related field required
• Must have experience of 2+ years; Experience in inpatient setting preferred
• Two years in Intake/Triage/Admissions preferred
• Computer proficient with previous heavy data entry experience
