School Social Worker – 2025–2026 School Year – In‑Person | Illinois

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a passionate  School Social Worker for the 2025–2026 school year. We’re offering full-time and part-time opportunities, all in-person, with positions available across elementary school sites.

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: In-person (Illinois)
Start Date: August 2025
Assignment: Elementary school, single-building roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide IEP-based minutes and documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and staff meetings
• Collaborate with school-based special education teams
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports
• Build relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Support social-emotional and behavioral needs

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Valid Illinois PEL with a School Social Work endorsement
• Experience in school settings or special education preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus—but not required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
